On Gun broker I saw an ad for some NOS Noveske Afghan barrels made in 2009 while John Noveske was still at the helm. The price is outstanding. These were made for, and are being sold by, a company some of you here may remember, NextGenerationArms. The guy personally selling them is one of the former owners.
Since I was looking for a 14.5" to add to my collection I bought one and I'm here to let folks know that the barrels, and the seller is GTG. Barrels are super nice.
Search NGAclearance or item#747413378 and they should come up.
Again, I hope I'm not breaking any rules, just trying to pass along a good deal and help some members out.
I am in no way connected to these barrels or the seller in any way other than having bought one, and plan on buying another.
I have one that I bought around 2013 also, has a regular length gas block journal vs the shorter Noveske one. Super Accurate.

Yes, these are the same exact barrels that they used/sold. They use a .750 GBP and they can take a standard fps, not just the short GB. The GB journal is 1.9" long.
I didn't want to retype his ad here in case this type of post was verboten but did give everyone his contact info and the auction number so you could see for yourselves what the man is selling.
I'm thinking a group/bulk buy and we will be able to get them at an even better price than the already OUTSTANDINGprice he wants, I already asked him about that.
Look, I know they're 5.56 and with all the new calibers out there many are wanting to take advantage of these better performing calibers, me included, I want to try out the new .224 Valkyrie pretty bad but these are, from all the reading I've done, some of the best production barrels out there and the price is smokin.
Let's do a group buy. Who's in? Come on, we need at least 10.

Brownells has Pmags down to 10.99 for the M3s on backorder, and code M8X knocks $10 off $75 plus free shipping, so that's 7 for ~$66.

A little over nine bucks each... depending how long the markdown and the code are good, may have to start ordering a batch every payday. "Buy 'em Cheap and Stack 'em Deep," isn't that how the saying goes?

So to get that barrel do you have to do NFA paperwork or can you get it and have a brake permanently affixed before using it on a rifle?

Support the entire Constitution, not just the parts you like.
Common sense is only right wing if you are too far to the left.
A pistol without a round chambered is an intricate paperweight.

Some people here will tell you that Noveske barrels are trash because the newer ones are badly overgasssed. I only have an old “Afghan”, because it has lasted incredibly well.
