What's the word on the quality? I'm reminded of the old truism, "If it is too good to be true, it isn't?"

Any real world experience with the reliability of the Valyrie lights?

Bear in mind, I'm a Casual Speed Moderate Drag Desk Wonk rather than a High Speed Low Drag Operator, but I like mine. It gets a little hot after it's left on for a bit, but it's gotten to the point that when I need a flashlight I just rip it off the AR rather than pull the penlight out of my pocket. It's bright, maybe not the brightest in the world but it's enough to fry *my* vision if I look into it, and the flash setting has a nice f***-your-eyeballs factor if you're on the Downrange side. I'd buy it again--wouldn't pay full price, but I generally refuse to pay full price for ANYTHING on principle.

Second place to Streamlight TLR's in raw performance from the reviews I've seen, but the general consensus seemed to be very good bang-for-buck. I've penciled these out as my "go to" for Home D AR builds.

I don't own one, so no real world experience. There is a pretty thorough and honest review on it though. It seems he did have to take some screws out and apply some loctite on them because they worked loose during a class and developed a little play. It seems that fixed the problem. Like he memtions, it is a very good price, so applying some loctite after the fact might be part of the deal or it might be a no go for some. Your call.

Must be really popular. Olight server is down.

Received email apology from Olight about the website crash. They will extend the sale for another 24 hours and says please allow a max of 2 weeks shipping due to the high demand and sale extension. At least they put it out there and owned it.

    ***updated***

Website is back up. My order went through. Go get it if you were trying!

The sale said through today. Not sure if it was over when you looked but it was definitely priced at that earlier today when I posted. Did you follow the link to the 1x4? They may have had another power on sale as well.
