The Vegas Shooter Screwed Us on Deregulation of Suppressors

    a.k.a. Paul Ryan Screwed Us

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...e-suppressors/

Two days after an attacker opened fire on concert goers in Las Vegas, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc) announced he was shelving legislation to deregulate suppressors.
Ryan has now shelved the Hearing Protection Act, which was introduced into Congress on January 9; it is the legislation containing suppressor deregulation. The Act does not legalize suppressors–as they are already legal–rather, it removes the burdensome process for acquiring them and erases the federal tax that must be paid in order to receive permission to posses one.
If you read the whole article it implies that Ryan's decision is as a result of the Las Vegas shooting.

That pretty much sums it up.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

    Saved me some typing.

Well thats... convenient. Reminds me of when the HPA was originally going to get voted on and the Senator was shot the day before.

Would this have run the risk of Dems attaching amendments or was it pretty sealed before any vote? I'm not sure I'd risk it if the Dems could have mucked with it.

You all know what we'll here from Repubs next... "if y'all would only vote in a filibuster proof Republican majority we'd for sure be able to get things done. Those darn Democrats are obstructionists!"

Aside from the bill being shelved I ponder as to what new regulations the BATFE will grace upon us in response to the LV shooting; bumpfire stocks, hell fire trigger gizmos, arm braces, Mossberg Shockwave/Remington TAC-14, et al. . . .
