    My ultimate 14.5" build

After a buddies cousin just had to have my recce build, it was time to start my next build. I had already started this build as an mk18, but now i needed something i could take out of state without hassle, since i live within an hour of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. So i put the mk18 on the back burner and used the bcm upper receiver and lower from it. Didnt care for my 1-4x i had so i knew i wanted just a red dot of some sorts and after looking through several i decided the eotech reticle was my favorite. I wanted to keep it short as possible without registering it for hog hunting so i decided on a 14.5" So I ordered a bunch of bcm parts. Then sent the barrel off to adco to have my asr flash hider pinned and welded. He was super fast and easy to deal with. Got it back today and put it together. Going to sight it in friday and take it out saturday night to see how the pigs like it.

    Upper Specs:
    Bcm upper receiver
    Bcm Bcg
    Bcm mod 4 charging handle
    Bcm 14.5" bfh midlength barrel
    Geissele mk8 13" in ddc
    Eotech exps3-0 in tan
    Daniel defense front sight
    Troy rear buis
    Silencerco asr flash hider
Surefire m600u light in a arisaka inline mlok mount(still waiting on)

    Lower:
    Bcm lower
B5 bravo stock(soon to swap with b5 sopmod)
Trigger will be swapped with a geissele ssa soon as well

What do you like about the SOPMOD over the Bravo?

Storage. I keep a small bottle of clp in my grip and a bore snake in one tune on the stock and spare batteries in the other.

I built a similar gun awhile back, and ended up sacrificing it to the motorcycle fund. I realized what a good thing I had, so I am slowly accumulating parts to build a version 2. Right now I have the lower finished

    Rainier Ultramatch ambi lower
    Vltor A5
    BCM LPK

    Upper
    Vltor MUR
    Ballistic Advantage 14.0"
    Geissele 13" Mk14
    BCM BCG
    Geissele CH
    Pinned Dead Air flash hider
    Sandman-S

Although there are many people who are not in favor of a pinned/welded muzzle device, I have never found it to be a big deal. I am not dissembling/reassembling my rifles all the time, so I have never had a problem with it. Looks like a solid build, looking forward to hearing back about how it does.

Agreed on the pinned muzzle. Its not even like it completely permanent, it can be removed if needed by a gun smith. Sounds like a super solid build

Gun ran great with m193, speer 64gr gold dot and some pmc to test function. Group i thought was pretty good for a red dot and my eyes. That group is with gold dot. No hogs this trip.
