You don't have to be a machinist realize the kind of overhead DD has. I wonder how much of it runs lights out?? https://danieldefense.com/black-creek-ga-facility-tour
I've seen less capacity at major aerospace & defense vendors/subcontractors. Looks like some wide eyed M.E. got everything that they wanted on their Christmas list... I can only imagine all the extra what whiz-bang stuff that's at Ridgeland.

It did not fail to impress...let me dig up a Youtube link for you guys.

    Edit to Add:

The Ridgeland tour starts at about 6:45. Really good overview of what was going on there. Definitely cool walking into every day.

I won't be surprised if I run into a few in the Charleston area.

I, apparently for one, will still buy and use DD gear and rifles. You guys are too funny, sadly.
That would be cute and all, but DD's "non-compete agreement" has a pretty damn heavy stench to it.

The non-compete is standard for most business and even still was signed when they were hired, NOT when terminated according to the sources I have seen. so...

Which tech/mfg company is currently laying off w/out a non-compete? Every non-compete agreement I've ever seen was signed at initial employment, hell, even Jimmy Johns makes sandwich monkeys sign non-competes.

I understand that they are not popular, and that some companies do not use them, but in all honesty, I would if I were a mfg/tech company owner.

It's my understanding that the courts really dislike "non-compete". They take a dim view of interfering with a man's ability to work. I've been told by lawyers that they are practically un-enforceable. But I could be wrong on this.

I'd say that many of the major ones in the defense industry don't have non-competes, at least for the 'regular' workers. For C-level execs, I don't know. In the aerospace/defense industry, there's a lot of movement between companies. People quit, get laid off, and go work at another company doing the same thing. I'd never work for a company that makes me sign a non-compete agreement and just about everyone I know in the industry wouldn't either.

Myself, and everybody else I knew and worked with had to sign the same paperwork when we started. Frankly...where else are we going to go in this part of GA/SC to build competitors guns...? I mean. I can't think of anywhere.
Quoting this in case folks missed it. Seems there are some falsities that are being circulated still.
