The forcing cone is the area of the bore that transitions into the bore from the chamber. In a factory barrel it is short. Lengthening makes the tapered section longer and reduces the recoil impulse. Same with back boring. In a clay target gun both increase the pattern consistency. Less shot deforming and slightly less recoil. If you are shooting hundreds of rounds a day it might be worth a few bucks but in a HD scenario like porting it is a waste of $$$. I think the VC mod is a waste of money for the average shooter.
