Hello all, I just recently acquired a Centruy C308 which I'm quite impressed with. I know the barrels are 5/8x24 threaded, however I have read conflicting things online about wether the break is pinned and welded or not. I would like to replace the factory chevron break with something more effective, however I do not want to crank on it with a wrench if it's pinned on there. Anyone have any insight on the matter? Thanks in advance for the help!

My 2009 vintage C308 isn't. The flash hider just screws off, no pin/weld on it.
Mine has what looks to be a copy of an A2 flash hider.
So far it has been reliable and accurate. Though I don't shoot it as much as I use to.
