Les Baer Thunder Ranch - value?

Is the LB Thunder Ranch 1911 a good value? Looking for an upper end 1911 under 2k. LB TR owners, what has been your experience? Anything else I should consider?
    Thanks.

    I've had one since 2000.
    Accurate, workhorse.

Baer makes an identical pistol sans the TR logo.
It's a couple hundred cheaper. Sorry, don't know the name.

UTC. This one has 5001 rounds thru it.

Extractor lost tension at about 3000 rounds, tightened it up and been good ever since. Have an egw hd extractor but haven’t had time to fit it.

Works well with all mags I own and eats everything. I use 200 lswc and have no failures to feed.

Thanks, I'll have to look at the UTC too. It's a beautiful piece.

I've had a Custom Carry since 2010. Great gun. Basically the same as a UTC except I think the mainspring housing in mine is seratted and the UTC is checkered. Not much of a difference. Favorite 1911 so far. Buy the Baer, you'll enjoy it.

Loved my TRS, my oldest son loved it more…Gave it to him when he exited the 82nd.

I kept my CC, LB gives good value at that price point.

New, they are tighter than Dick's hatband, none of the blueing matches, but it tears a ragged hole at 25.

    It's my EDC.

    Good Luck.

    Les Baer are Gtg
I picked up a used one for not much that had over 7k through it and it shot lights out
Had slight fall to half cock when dropping slide on empty magazines
For function check. Probably due to previous owner "tuning "
Les Baer fixed it quickly for $120 and it's feeling brand new

If you're on a tighter budget and want stainless
Dan Wesson Specialist is gtg too

    Ps
Used TRS I've seen around $1700

The Baer two tone blue has always had a special place in my heart... This one has had it from birth.
I never noticed it on my first mono, or on the subsequent mono for a long time, but it's starting to become apparent on that pistol as well.
Funny how some come pretty different and some have to grow into it a bit.
