    Ar15 build issue

So my gun is having light primer strikes with no "boom" typically on hornady .223 55 grain. You can clearly see the primer has been struck.

Here are my specs. FYI if anyone is curious I put anti roll pins on my gun because my trigger pins were walking out. I have less than 500 rounds through the gun.

    LOWER
    PSA blem fire/safe lower
    Anderson arms mil spec LPK
    KNS anti-roll pins
    Damages Industries enhanced buffer spring
    Spikes tactical T2 buffer

    UPPER
Mil spec upper (no idea brand)
milspec full auto complete BCG (no name)
    Colt 6920 barrel

    Ar15 build issue

My first suspicion would be the Anderson LPK. However, if it is persistently happening with one ammo, try another type. There have been some threads on other forums about Hornady ammunition having primers fail to detonate.

Additionally, ensure your firing pin is clean and not hanging up.

The gun was clean as a whistle. Hornady is the only ammo it hasn't shot yet. I'm the only one in my group with the problem.

Yeah the Anderson LPK was the culprit on the trigger pins walking. It's been recommend to change the hammer spring. I will give them one thing it's the best milspec trigger I have ever shot and others 100% agree. However, if the gun won't go bang the trigger pull doesnt matter anyways.

Is there any change my buffer and spring are to heavy?

Your gun will tell you on buffers, but that won't cause your issue.

You put one or more of your fire control group springs in wrong.

    Very possible.

    What Colt Seavers said.

I'll bet your hammer spring is installed incorrectly. That could also let the trigger pin walk.

The legs of the hammer spring go over the trigger pin. It is easy to get the spring on the hammer incorrectly, here's a picture just in case:

I believe you guys are correct. My hammer doesn't look like that, but I believe the spring is on backwards. It won't let me upload a pic from my phone.

Glad it was an easy fix. Pretty common to get those backwards, it looks 'right' both ways. Also easier to install the incorrect way.

I took the gun down and out in the garage with better light, then I cussed.. a lot.... then I pulled the hammer pin and flipped the spring. Now I can completely 110% tell the difference in power of the hammer just blocking it with my finger. Thanks guys for the help. Once I know this one is 100% done and reliable I can move on.

I think I made a mistake going with a 15" rail with my t rex arms trying to use a tlr-1hl at 12 o clock on the rail.
