    SLR Rifleworks SOLO Intrepid Durability

Building a pistol that will become a firearm with VFG and became awestruck with the SLR SOLO Intrepid.

However, the anti rotation method of using the gas tube has me concerned about it's durability (not fit and finish, not sex appeal, not how cool the guys at SLR are or how good SLR's customer service is). I am familiar with this method as I am a YHM handguard user and have had one come loose/rotate on me, prompting me to use Magpul RASs to bridge the gap as combination anti rotation device and sling points.

I have searched and cannot find anything recent or descriptive.

    Thank you in advance.

I had to put a strap wrench on mine when I went to remove it. I couldn't get it to budge at first. I have SLR rails on all my rifles and have no issues. Been through a few classes and never had an issue.

It clamps to the barrel but pretty good if you torque the... I don't know what the things on the bottom are called, to 25 in/lb.
