Are current DD Mk 12 and Mk 4 V7 Rifles really Over-gassed?

Are current Daniel Defense Mk 12 (18 inch barrel) and Mk 4 V 7 (16 inch Rifles really overgassed? I assume criticisms were directed toward carbine and pistol
length systems. I really like Daniel Defense rifles and wish Daniel Defense well - especially the employees that were recently laid off.

I have a v5 that does not seem to be overgassed. The only issue I know of is with the mk18 which has been fixed.

I have a DD mk12 with roughly 500rnds through it and all of them have been through a silco hybrid with a .46 endcap. Absolutely no evidence of overgassing.

    Great shooting rifle BTW.

Three 16" V7's. Not overpassed at all.
