HUGE layoffs at Daniel Defense

Amid ongoing reports of deteriorating sales in the black rifle market, firearms manufacturer Daniel Defense laid off an undisclosed number of employees. According to conversations with those affected and social media posts, on Friday, Sept. 29 and Monday, Oct. 2., the firearms manufacturer eliminated approximately 100 full-time positions.

It did not help to have Daniel Defense plastered all over the ISIS man's guns in LV.

At the very least they should not seek to enforce the non-compete agreements. That would be like a kick in the nuts after being laid off.

Shit happens and you can't always keep employees in hard times for an industry, but if I get wind they are enforcing the non-compete agreements that would make me swear off of Daniel Defense products for life.

Pretty much this. The RISII is about the only thing they had going. I still want a MK18 FSP.

Where is the 12" RIS II to match my MK18 clone? Oh, yeah, only available on 14.5" pinned uppers and rifles. Pass. Nothing else they make is available only from them. It's a shame.

It sucks to see anyone lose their jobs. I always wondered why their stuff cost so much. I do have one of their A1.5 fixed rear sight and a CHF 18" S2W barrel. They weren't to bad $$ wise.

***They won't & can't. You cannot layoff people or fire them (without cause) & then expect to enforce a NONCOMPETE !!
