    Tennessee CCW laws?

    Greetings.

I'll be visiting TN (Nashville area) for two weeks and was wondering what the current TN CCW laws are.

Does TN still honor (non-resident) NV CCW permits?
Does TN honor CA CCW permits?

Are posted "no firearms" signs still a no-go for carrying?

Besides schools/colleges, are there any other places you outright can not carry?

Can you carry in an establishments that serves alcohol for consumption (resturant, bar)?

    Can you drink and carry?

    Thanks for any insight.

Uncle Google led me to these official links:

Recognition of Out-of-State Handgun Carry Permits: https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/hgreciprocity

    Related Laws: https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/handguntca

    Frequently Asked Questions: https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/handgunfaqs

Good on you for asking. I always make it a point to check the websites of states I travel through, or stay in.

And a very good point made by Claude Werner, aka The Tactical professor. Make sure you read the legal definitions of deadly force and when it can be applied. Some states like Georgia have a pretty simple legal definition and requirements. Other places like California - not so much.

In addition to the actual state website, I find this site to be a good resource with concise summaries of the laws/regs in pdf format. They seem to do a good job keeping everything up to date as well.

There's also a CCW app that tracks all the state laws. I think they may be affiliated with handgunlaw.us, but I'm not sure. My phone is in the other room
