Sorry I can't help with that, I'm still in my research phase of suppressors and had seen a post form a Knights rep say that they use the HH when suppressed. I never put 2 and 2 together to realize that the HH is just an H2 buffer. I also never used a Vltor receiver extension but see the A5H2 is pretty much everyone's all around use buffer, and the green sprinco spring gets used a lot with it.

Does anyone know if the Sb sob or sbm4 brace would fit onto the Vltor a5 pistol tube, give the a5 tube is longer than normal tubes?

I think it will fit but be further back, here is a pic I found with the VLTOR A5 pistol tube with law tactical folder and a sig brace. I think it will just sit back further on the tube instead of coming up flush against the end plate.

The Vltor site list's it as "Compatible with most arm braces"

As long as the tube isn’t sticking out of the hole in the brace, which I assume it doesn’t from the pic?

Does the SB socket go all the way through like a Shockwave Blade? The Vltor tube's design forces about an inch and a quarter from endplate rear face to front of brace IIRC, and on my Shocky there's about 1/4" of tube sticking out the rear end with it snugged up full-forward.

My SBM4 brace is 7 1/4" long, your tube is 8.23″ but it says "Length of tube from the end to the knurling: 6.45” so I think you would be fine. They do sell pistol tube brace stops that clamp on the tube and stop the brace from sliding forward.

Here is an example of the brace stop that should fit your Diameter of Tube: 1.18”.

Thanks for that. I thought the Vltor tube has a natural stop built in? If you look at the tube, it has a stop about an inch away from the castle nut?

Heavy, that's the one I was referring to--that knurled raised ring for screwing it on is also a built-in brace-stop, which can be counterproductive if like me you prefer to keep things ratcheted up forward.
