    Bobro Mount Issue(s)

Curious if anyone has experienced this:

The right rear stud of back ring has sheared off on two different mounts. Same stud on both mounts.
Nuts are torqued to specs and (Blue) Loctite(d).
This is on the same 16" gun (5.56) using a Trijicon Accupoint 1-6.
Gun has never been dropped or abused, it's a relatively low round count "precision"/distance AR, not a range beater that's run hard.
Bobro's CS was tops on the 1st mount.
Just today I dialed in scope on the second mount (back up/spare). I discovered the effing nut missing and sheared stud while cleaning up the gun to stick in the safe.
I am reluctant to screw with the returned/repaired mount at this point.
Anyone had a problem with the ring studs shearing?

Interesting... Are you certain your TQ wrench is applying the proper torque? Weird that it would have a clean brake like that. I can't remember if Bobro has there TQ values with or without locktite. That will also change your actual value. I'm very curious to see if anyone else has this same failure.

Bobro cautions that too much torque can cause the lugs to be sheared off, but I find it unusual that this happened to the same lug on both mounts. Did you buy them together, i.e., maybe they’re from a bad batch?

    I had that happen before.

Got in the safe and noticed it one day. I'm sure they were over torqued.

I contacted Bobro and only had to pay to ship it to them to fix.

If you follow the same pattern when torqueing your screws and the same lug broke I would agree it is a torque issue.

    It's possible.

I do a torque pattern with the screws, in this case nuts.
My concern is this- I've mounted over 40 scopes on a number of different mounts/rings.
I've never had one fail, until TWO Bobros went South.
I am reluctant to use them again, although I like their mount and their horizontally split rings are much easier for me than the vertically split rings.

Guess my first thought was a bad batch of bolts.
