Disappointing that Palmetto has pissed away so many opportunities to use their same business model (selling closeouts, oddballs, etc, that they've acquired from manufacturers for great prices), but complement it by being totally up-front about what they're selling and backing it up with world class customer service.
Unfortunately, every one of these situations makes them seem more and more shady and scares away more business.

The owner of the upper has contacted them by email and is going to try and get a hold of a person who is a supervisor via phone call. People can follow along if they want, gave the link to the AR builders group where it was originally posted at. Will post if he gets a hold of a supervisor. I find it hard how they couldn’t warranty the upper they sold, taking it apart in no way effects the lower that they machined or bought from a vender.
I'm sure someone will be along soon to defend PSA again.........
This is a common problem with lower-end uppers.
The centerline datum bore is not centered in the upper raw forging.
I had an Armalite upper in my shop recently and my buddy wanted a Geissele rail installed. The tabs on the rail and the upper would interfere due to the upper’s bore not being centered in the upper.
Entire Armalite rifle was then shitcaned and was replaced with a Colt build with the same Geissele rail.

Wasn't PSA one of the biggest price gougers after the Sandy Hook scare? That alone should keep people from buying their junk.

The biggest draws of PSA is their price for what first appears to be high quality mil spec parts. People will continue to buy from them as long as their price is low.
They will replace it because people are going to call them out as scumbags knowingly selling defective equipment if they don’t. They can’t hide on TOS forever, and they know fully well a clear picture showing their defective garbage is going to hurt business.
My guess is they will quickly want it back so they can hide the evidence.
I’ll tell you what, if they don’t take it back by the end of this week, I’ll take his bad upper and write up and article about it with a bunch of pics. I’m pretty sure I can get him a replacement from a different manufacturer.
