Look up Surefeed magazines, they were/are Okay Industries but rebranded the name of their magazines a couple years back. You can find them on Botach, Mag Shack, etc.

Hexmag dropped from about chest height to concrete with (3?) rounds in it, crack starting down the spine.

So far haven't tested the half-dozen Hexmags I own, but after how the company CEO screwed over his own brother who was the designer (story was on TFB a while back), I WON'T be doing business with them again even with the endorsement of Lord Jesus Himself.

A man who'll screw over his own family for a buck will do ANYTHING and screw ANYONE. Sorry, maybe I'm simpleminded and over-moralizing, but character DOES matter and a fish rots from the head down.

Sounds to me like the brother who designed it cut off his nose to spite his face. 5% sounds fair for a design fee to me. I wonder who paid the parents back. If you own 5% of a company you only own 5% of the liability. I am just not so sure anyone got screwed but.. I wasn't there.

I bought a half dozen or so of then a while back. They were 10 rounders that held 11 rounds (New Yorkistan). They function properly as in, they load rounds without issue, however they don't drop free.

We’ll I think it’s clear that there are some better options out there for a little more money. We should do a favorite magazine poll just for fun. Looks like P mags, Lancer, and Okay are the top favorites so far.

Correct. The lesson here is Magpul PMAG, Lancer, D&H, or OKAY. With the aforementioned options readily available and reasonably priced, i can't imagine the need to look elsewhere. Lots of garbage out there in the AR world.

I have not check out the Gen 2, but I wasn't impress with the Gen 1 HexMag. Just stick with Lancer, USGI or P-Mag.
