Federal Engineering XC

I was watching Troma's War (a smorgasboard of obscure 80s guns) and the girl with the baby uses this SMG. I know absolutely nothing about it other than it looks cheap, crude, was made in the 80s, and takes UZI/M11 mags.

Cursory googling shows that semi auto models exist. I have never seen one in real life. Has anyone here seen or shot one?

Does anyone know about Federal Engineering?

In the '00s-'10s everybody was on about making the latest AR15 but in the '80s everybody went off the rails trying to make some SMG. SMGs were popular then.

Man, I remember those from the 80s. They were always listed in the back section of Gun Digest where it catalogued all manufacturers and models. I have never seen one in the flesh. I always wondered about the existence of transferable fullauto Federal Engineering models.
