First budget build, used up some spare parts.

I had a few spare parts laying around and received a free barrel on veterans day. I decided to do a budget build to see how well it would shoot compared to my more expensive rifles.
The upper/lower and hand guard already came Ceracote in burnt bronze, $250 for the set. After getting the the rest of the LPK/UPK and gas tube I only spent a little over $400 to throw another rifle together using left over and take off parts from other builds.

I went with BCA since they sent me the free barrel and their shop is only 40 miles away. This is my first budjet, first Mloc, first Ceracote build.
After installing the hand stop on the Mloc I'm sure this will be my one and only Mloc hand guard, what a pain!

Looks nice man! That's is a pretty sleek looking handguard, and i like the burnt bronze color. Seems like a solid build for the price. I too, am not a big fan of the MLOK. I much prefer the picatinny rails for mounting accessories, though having the smooth MLOK is nice for not cutting up your hands.

I had a leftover BCM PNT trigger from their LPK that I used in another build, swapped in a Giessele on that build.

I personally like them, but I don't have a lot of experience with triggers. I've used colts for 22 years in the Army so that's what I base the feel of triggers on. My first civilian rifle was the S&W sport II and that trigger was horrible, so since I was building a new rifle (that I had a Giessele trigger for) and needed a LPK I decided on the BCM and used the trigger from that kit in my Sport.

To me it was night and day better, and I didn't have to spend the big bucks for a giessele just to put in my budget sport II. This build will be my third that I've used a BCM trigger with, also have a couple SSA-E's and one SSA.

Here is the BCM PNT compared to the OEM S&W trigger.
