Looking for suggestions for a red dot on a Colt 16" upper. Aimpoints don't work for my eyes - anyone use a RMR or something like that?
Thanks

Trijicon MRO w/ Larue QD mount
3x compact prism are doing wonders and very cost effective.
Cheaper options from China, or Vortex / Primary Arms /Burris...
Just put a RMR with cowitness mount on the 9mm SBR I'm working on. Works perfectly with magpul folding backups. For now its the Trijicon, may go with something cheaper in the future if/when i put the Trijicon on something more serious/practical. This is "mostly" a range toy for now.
My 9mm AR is pretty much a range/practice gun. I had a Sparc AR from Vortex around and put that on. So far no issues in about 1k, and it a pretty good 'budget' counterpart to the aimpoint for practice and range use.
Eotech. I’ll be putting irons back on it soon. Mine’s a range toy.
Edit: Its not that I don’t like the Eotech... its actually one of my favorite optics. I just want to practice more with irons.

Has anyone tried a fixed rear, like a DD A1.5, on a 9mm carbine? I have one laying around I could use.
I had a RRA fixed mini A2 rear and DD fixed front on mine that I liked. I’m sure the DD A1.5 will work just as well, or better. I’ve been eyeballing a set of Scalarworks fixed irons.
It's not an AR, but my 9mm sbr has the little 1.6x acog on it, and I like it.
Battery powered optics do not work with my astigmatism.
