Was not metric we were asked to track, I'm guessing many had on the low side then switched. The FOV between targets was fairly wide, they were not just asked to engage a single target. There were multiple targets in each envelope and they were asked to engage them as quickly as possible.

Were the reticles the same between SFP, FFP/Multi? Magnification setting used does seem to be an important debrief note. Though in aggregate testing time to hits on multiple targets highlights the advantage I think you are mentioning in that FFP/Multi have a wider field of view on lower mag settings that can be utilized when searching for or transitioning between targets at longer ranges while still providing accurate holds.
For a 1-4 only SFP makes sense. Even with 1-6 SFP still makes sense but an argument can be made for FFP with a good reticle design. 1-8 definitely favors FFP/DFP in my view. I might frequently use a 1-8 at 5/6x mag. Never going to use a 1-4 at 2/3x. Sometimes would use a 1-6 at 3/4x but at what distance is where the SFP/FFP question becomes interesting.

Except that we are talking about Nightforce. They don’t release an item until it’s ready to be fielded. I have zero concern being an early adopter of anything NF produces.
