    Finger Pound? What's That?

I am looking to install a sling adapter for a single point sling. A video says to torque the castle nut to 40 finger pounds. What is that? I never heard of a "finger pound", only foot pounds. What are they talking about regarding the Caslte Nut?

IIRC 40 ft-lbs +/-2 is the correct torque for the castle nut. Don't forget to stake it.

As an aside, are you sure you want a single point sling?

Thanks. Forty foot pounds is something I know. I am not sure about staking, it doesn't appear to have come staked. My two point kept getting in the way of my new C-grip when snapping it up from the hanging position. I'll keep the two point just in case.

Was the person in the video using a torque wrench or just his fingers on a regular wrench?

    Here is the video:

Go to the 8.20 minute mark. He says 40 +-2 inch pounds. I got this wrong, confusing inch pounds and finger pounds. So this is one inch out and forty pounds of pressure, right?

Dont watch that video. 40 inch pounds is completely wrong. 40 foot pounds is correct.
