Grant, I didn’t see anything from SHOT, do you know when they plan on releasing the TRP 9mm?

Sorry, missed the TRP part. I do not know if they will offer that gun in 9mm. I don't see why not.

10 plus 1. Several mag mfg make 9mm 1911 mags so they will likely all have same capacity. A very good double stack 9mm that feels like a 1911 is the Sig SOA Legion. Has 1911 safety and trigger feels like a 1911. It's not a 1911 but handles just like one.

I just got one. Dies arrived yesterday; I'm now shopping bullets and brass. I'll let y'all know how she shoots.

Edited... I hate this place. I've had the 1911 itch for a while now as I've been without one for years. I've also wanted a 1911 in 10mm since the late 80's. Bucket list item checked. I finger-fondled this TRP yesterday. I went back to the LGS today and asked for their best deal and showed them what I could do online. They matched the best price. Just put it in the safe. I'll let you know how it does when I have time to shoot it.

I got the 5". The 6" was just too big. It might be a little more tame, but it felt like I might as well just have an SBR instead.

They released an RMR variant for those that haven't seen it. Exciting to see them start selling RMR equipped 1911s though I don't know why they didn't offer one with a rail and FCS. I messaged them on IG and told them to make a 9mm RMR TRP Operator, they said "great idea." Hopefully it's already in the works, I was all set on a DW Specialist but if I can get the gun with an RMR from the factory, that's a huge plus.

So then, who makes a decent holster to fit this beast??? It’s bigger than the average 1911 me thinks.

The Masterfire should work, if that suits your role for it.

I was really excited to see the RMR TRP. Is it my imagination or does not have a rail? Wtf Springfield.

It looks like they made the frame from the same forging as the railed frames, they just don't appear to have machined the frame for the rail.

I'd guess they're marketing it to handgun hunters, not to folks wanted to put one on their nightstand or duty rig.

It also doesn't have forward cocking serrations.
