WIN 748 is the Lowest flash I've tried.

H335 is the king of high flash.

Out of 16" + 20" barrels w/A2 flash hiders, CFE 223 seems to not produce much flash, at least not as much as BL-C(2) or H335. Which are the only other "ball" powders I have used for .223

Of the stick type powders, I have used 4895 (both H, and IMR), and IMR 4064. Neither of those seemed to have a lot of flash either.

Yeah it's terrible. TAC and 2000mr (CFE223?) are a lot better, but that's the limit of my experience with ball powders

+2 on H335 generating mega flash, even from other cases. I have also found that other ball powders as noted above are better.

The best seem to be fast burning stick powders. H4895 and especially 8208 XBR have been good.

The real test though is to shoot these at night, with night vision. The naked eye doesn't do a great job from a quantitative standpoint.

Single base powders (most IMR rifle powder and most Vihtavuori) usually have less flash than double base like H335 and Ball C.

That being said, a long time ago (8lbs/$72 long ago) I was getting pull down from Hi-tech in St. Louis that was 335 and ball c equivalent (WC844 & WC846?) that produced little flash from 20" barrels with Wilson Combat muzzle brakes (Clinton ban legal looked like A2 FH)
