    Daniel defense MK18 suppressed issues

I have a silencerco Omega I am running on my factory DD MK18. I put a geissele dynamic 3G trigger (using the supplied heavy spring) in it and obviously runs great unsuppressed but suppressed it does double or even triple taps at times. When shooting from a bench I found myself just slapping the trigger to avoid a recoil induced burst. Shooting just standing at times the hammer follows the BCG so I get a dead trigger. I am now running the factory DD trigger and have no issues with trigger reliabilty but am now having trouble with double feeds shooting xm855 steel core. I have tried using a rifle length recoil spring and H2 buffer to help slow the BCG down (which I assume is the issue). I dont want to get an adjustable gas block as I feel that is more of a permanent solution even though I know the DD is over gassed. I reload and have shot hornady 62 grain jacketed bullets suppressed with no issue (kind of a light load but accuracy was great, I think around 2100 fps) but had two double feeds in one magazine with the xm855 steel core. I guess my goal is to have the gun run as reliable as it is unsuppressed no matter the ammo or trigger with the suppressor on, but understand that may be unrealistic. My uneducated assumption is how fast that BCG is moving with the short dwell time in the barrel and added gas pressure of the suppressor, so I was thinking maybe the gemtech bolt carrier could be my "non-permanent" solution. I read on the link below that the bolt speed was greatly reduced with the gemtech suppressor bolt carrier, is anyone running one of these on their suppressed 10" SBR or maybe someone can correct my train of thought for my issues?

Call Daniel Defense and ask them what you can do. I’m sure they’ve run all sorts of cans on their rifles and may have sage advice on how to quickly fix this issue.

I second hitting up DD. That being said, bench shooting with the SD3G will result in bump firing quite a bit. The trigger is prone to it when (unintentionally) riding the reset.

Contact Geissele. It sounds like there's s problem with the trigger. There's nothing in the upper to cause doubling.

Also take out the rifle length action spring and put in a carbine spring. If you need a stiffer/stronger spring then get a Sprinco.

    A. You need to determine if you have a Jenna Jameson barrel or a newer one.

    B. Why are you using a rifle spring in a carbine?

    C. I would be looking for an H3 buffer stat.

There is no reason the Geissele trigger should double.

An H3 or possible, I always run Vltor A5 on my SBR's, well in truth on all my guns. But that should help things

Sold a buddy of mine an SD3G and he ended up getting rid of it b/c it was doubling. And that wasn't the first time I'd heard that. I wouldn't rule out the trigger.

I can get my SD-3G to double, triple, and sometimes bump Fire a good burst. Most of the time when it happens on accident it’s shooting from the bench or being super light on the trigger.

The way to fix that issue is to pull the trigger and follow through. Don’t try and ride the reset because the recoil will send another round down range.

I also recall that heavier springs were included in the newer versions but can’t remember for sure. I have had mine for a long time.
