Glock 19X Coming January 22, 2018

I just checked Glock's website. For width (with red bars on each side of the slide) they list a Gen 4 G19 as 30mm, a Gen 5 G19 as 34mm, and the 19X as 33mm.

Do a little research, or pull your head out and look at the slide. LOL. It is not the same geometry. Clearly different bevels. And it’s not the slide lock. LOL.

Some kydex holsters may work. Others may not and some of us have had issues, including myself. LOL. My issues are with higher end CompTac and BladeTech.

Hmmm, maybe a reason CompTac actually has a new Glock Gen5 holster which I just received and fits the 19X like a glove. For transparency, my leather Milt Sparks VM2 for CCW fits fine.

Well, I've NOT researched because I've NOT encountered the issues you have.

I'm fixated on the brands of holsters I use and they have been interchangeable with no noticeable differences.

Perhaps you may wish to look into JMCK... just sayin'

I have several off duty ALS holsters. My 19X wouldn't fit in one of three. It was a little too tight.

I'll check tonight and snap some photos. I think it was the right side if the frame. The G19/23 holster fit. The 17/22 didn't.

From what I've read while considering a Gen5 or 19X, it just depends on the holster maker and is pretty easy to modify in most cases if it doesn't fit.

Nope. I did have to modify my Bravo concealment holster though. The slide release did affect that one.

Received the one offered by Glockmeister in Coyote. Fit perfectly.
