    BCM Lower

I have a bcm lower that is getting lonely so I am gonna pick up a new upper for it but I cant decide between a Daniel defense upper and BCM upper. I know its a bcm lower but would a daniel defense upper be just as reliable and function just as well as a bcm upper with it? Or would it be better to match it with a bcm upper?

    They both will function.

BCM would be better for resale value though as it's complete BCM.

Best of luck in your decision, both will serve you wonderfully.

Oh, and if you're willing to dump 500 for an upper, Primary Arms has Colt 6920 complete rifles for 699.00 today.

I don't really ever sell my rifles so thats not really an issue. I have always been told that a complete upper and lower from the same company would always be more reliable but I dont know enough about the platform to know if thats true or not. I would rather have the dd upper but not at the cost of performance with the bcm lower.

There should be no reliability difference between a DD and a BCM upper on whatever top tier lower you want to use.

If you like the DD upper and can get it for a price you'd like to pay, go for it.

Do you have a link? I'm not seeing that deal on their website.

Not what he asked, and no they don't (and it's the only Colt listing at PA).

I'd go with BCM just because they're usually cheaper

Not that I owe anything to anyone, but when I looked at that time. They were.

Oh, and, I know that wasn't OP's question. Didn't realize I was being a nuisance by telling someone about a deal when the average DD upper is about that much.

Thanks for all your input to the guy's problem though.

    I hear yah there!

If that's the case, it doesn't really matter.

If you like DD, and it scratches the right itch, take that dive.

Based on the common community opinion, both will serve you well. At not too much different of a cost.

Is there anything in particular you want to do with it?

    Without a known intended use.....

While I haven't got to handle one yet, the more I play with stuff the more I like it being lighter out front for feel while packing and shooting so I would take a look at one of the BCM ELW uppers.
