Going to try a KAC rifle and need a can to match up

I am going to try out a KAC SR-15, leaning towards the 11" vs the 14.5"
Is there a preferred setup (barrel and Suppressor) for suppressed use and dynamic shooting (not bench rest)

I called silencer shop and the didn't seem to push the KAC as they thought it heavier and not as good db reduction as say the Griffin Rec 5

Can someone with some KAC experience give me some advice?

    Questions
    1. barrel length- trying to decide between the 11" and 14.5"
    2. Suppressor, would you guys recommend to stay with KAC? which can?
    3. Gas, I am a lefty; should I expect a gas out?
I would rather find all things out on the front end....

Youtube didn't seem to have many examples of complete KAC setups either....

I shoot the Hk 416 10.4" profiled with SDN6 now, and it seems a bit heavy

Personally, I'd stick to the CQB. Hanging a suppressor off of a 14.5/16in gun was less than enjoyable for the few times I did it. Can't really comment on the rest, I only have 60 rounds through a KAC with their shorty suppressor but I was surprised at how little I noticed any gas blowback to my face.

I shot a KAC 14.5 with their suppressor and it wasn’t that bad. KAC guns are light compared to my 14.5 build.

The suppressor was the KAC full size can as well.

I had no problems standing and hitting steel out to 300 with a MRO. It was the smoothest AR that I have personally shot.

Go with 11.5; you won't be disappointed. I have a SR15 CQB Mod 2 with the MLOK URX4 rail and a full size KAC 556 QDC suppressor; I could not be happier. Shoots very smooth, gas is minimal, and the KAC mounting system is really slick. My friend went out and bought the same setup right after he shot mine.

    Would you go factory sbr?
Or buy upper/lower separate ($25 difference) and form 1 it? I could use the upper while I what if I form 1 it...

I vote factory SBR. With a factory SBR you wouldn't have to engrave it and you should get that cool SBR prefix serial number instead of the regular KMXXXXXX that Knight's uses. The 556 QDC is somewhat pricey but it is a pretty sweet setup; I don't regret paying the extra money for it at all. FWIW, the current MLOK versions come with a LMT SOPMOD stock as opposed to the Magpul stock they show in the pictures of the MLOK version.

Thanks. Going factory sbr complicates things as my friends ffl has not finished getting the sot setup. But I can figure something out

I prefer the 11.5 with the QDC CQB. The full size is nice also, but if your not running night vision, I find that the CQB can is plenty good on flash, and the rifle feels better and is balanced better. Gas to face is not really an issue with the KAC or Surefire mini cans on 11.5s. I also have a few KAC 14.5s with cans, and prefer the 11.5s over them. Just my opinion.

This is a sweet rig Furby. I've run a few 11.5s in this config with LPVs, and they are excellent.
