Maybe im missing your point, but sex is not normal for 5-12 yr olds, which seems to be the target of some of the vids. Even back then, i doubt parents were having explicit sex in front of thier young children.

I think some is meant for adult consumption, but it comes down to parents knowing what they are exposing their kids to. Youtube is not your child’s parent.

Our youngest saw that stuff on his tablet and when he watches anything we normally check in and see just what it is. Saw this crap and kind of went what the ****. Needless to say that crap is banned in this house, we have the kids use vudu or PBS Kids app so we can control just what they see. Makes you wonder just what shit head thought this was a good idea to target kids. Then again I have dealt with sex assaults at work and have learned to not try to throat punch some people repeatedly.

I'm 99% sure Steyr didn't visit one of the articles or see any of the example videos. This has nothing to do with any sort of healthy normal sexuality. The videos don't directly promote sex, but have a variety of inappropriate themes that could be exploited by pedophiles.

Makes you wonder just what shit head thought this was a good idea to target kids.

IMHO, this is a totally different category than something like South Park, Family Guy, or other network cartoons that are vulgar, and inappropriate for small children, but not really out of the mainstream (lowest-common-denominator/ gutter / etc.). I can't think of any non-evil reason for the "Elsagate" videos to exist.

Great post everything here is spot on. Sexuality is part of human and animal nature, as long as it's self regulated and consensual by all parties, I don't care.

I agree with nearly all of this and I see where you are coming from. Growing up we never had any sexual education in school, not even STD classes in high school. I had friends stumble onto playboys and old school porn tapes and that was my exposure as a kid. My parents never told me anything regarding it either until I was old enough to know on my own.

Sexuality and sex information as a whole is so much more wide spread now than I ever remember at any point, and I am not a bashful individual or offended by things. However I have seen ads, and even stories on the news where I had to ask if they are really allowed to do that?

I was reading back through the entire thread just now, and thought this was a good post. Subliminal sexual advertising and content is very bad in children's programming and content.

My 4 year old granddaughter cruises YouTube on her computer like I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons. When she's at our house, my wife and I watch the content closely. I've seen nothing that causes me any alarm, and this past weekend I was watching particularly closely given the angst posed in this thread. The only limitation we've imposed is proscribing Ryan Toy Review. Not for nefarious content, but because it's excessively stupid, even by YouTube standards.

Feels like conspiracy theory to me.
