    Marlin 336 magazine tube swap

I have a 1969 produced Marlin 336/Glenfield 30. It has the short magazine tube that runs just forward of the handguard and screws into a dovetailed base.

I don't need or care about capacity in it, but I much prefer the look of the full length tube in a lever action. Does anyone know if you can swap magazine tubes between the newer and older Marlins to make it a full length tube?

    Thanks.

Looking at the scats on the numrich site, it looks doable.

Thanks easy, tubes are cheap enough I figure I'll give it a shot.

Just a thought, but short tubes are somewhat desirable to Marlin collectors. You might want to consider selling it and buying a full length tubed gun. I would definitely look at prices for your particular model before you attempt to convert it.
