Ya know, the last time I was in Florida there was that one night where me a few friends opened, and proceeded to close a Brazilian steakhouse, then head back to the place we were staying and 3 of the 4 of us divvying up the bathrooms on the way there, the one who didn't immediately have to evacuate his bowels didn't shit for a solid week, and then proceeded to go hit the miniature golf course with a bottle of Maker's Mark. I don't think the group of us even moved the needle on the scale of those there. Not when one acquaintance of one of the guys told us of a story of him knifing a guy on the street, so....yeah, Florida is kind of crazy in places. Then again I did almost Mozambique a guy and his buddy up here while at an ATM.

One of the first things that blew my mind was during a massive influx of Haitians during the Clinton years. I was pumping gas at the local station in the middle of the afternoon and some lady had her kid (guessing 6-8 years old) taking a crap in the grass between the sidewalk and the gas pumps.
Clearly this was nothing new for either of them. Of course since then I've seen lots worse, but that was my first "Wow" moment after moving back around 1990. And it was one of the key events that told me I couldn't live Ft. Lauderdale anymore, it was getting more "ghetto" than Miami was after Mariel.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

I'll hit up the Gulf for a dive but Miami requires spanish and even though I am fluent; I don't like to.

People have been drinking and driving a long time. I remember seeing stuff like this back in 1999/2000 when I worked nightshift. I remember a guy so drunk he drove up on to one of those islands in a parking lot and feel asleep. He was so out I thought he had died
