    When I ran a RS24 for work I never left the illumination on as I knew it would eat batteries. Optics like these are meant to be used only sparingly with the reticle lit, IMHO. Mine had the segmented circle which was bold enough to pick up without illumination anyway. The only times I ever turned it in was in searching darkened areas, etc.

    All around it’s a fine optic, just don’t expect anything like Aimpoint battery life.

    It's a good scope, you'll have great glass, 1/4 moa or .1 mil adjustments based off your reticle and good eye relief.
