    Pistol spitting with suppressor

Just mounted a Silencerco Hybrid to a Walther PPQ 45 and it was spitting with every shot.

Same suppressor on a 1911 and no spit.

    Anyone know what causes it?

I'm sure someone smarter than me will be along soon to opine, but I've found its usually much worse with faster cycling guns- could apply in your case

What does spitting mean? All i can picture is tobacco juice dribbling down the can.

Are you talking about running a suppressor wet with water or wirepulling gel?

Blowback on 1 vs. the other comes down to cycle speed of the breach (slide). On your PPQ it's probably opening a lot faster vs. your 1911. In turn the PPQ is probably louder as well. Don't know if they make aftermarket springs, but a 1-2 lb stiffer spring should remedy the issue...

Did your PPQ 45 come with two recoil springs or one?

One. Was it supposed to have two springs?
