    Question 200 post requirement

Is there any plan to consider a change to the 200 post requirement to participate in the general and marketplace forums? It's understandable to not immediately give access at the moment of registration but does it really take 200 posts to determine users are acceptable?

<Shrugs> I've been here since 2009 & still can't post. But then again, I don't post much anyways. More than I used to, but still not very often.

    Central (Tampa/St. Pete area)...

Back on topic though - If I become a site sponsor, will that negate the 200 post requirement? (Pretty Please?)

    200 post requirement

Member for four years. Post count 19. I’ve been unable to post in threads that I could actually contribute,...Threads on aviation (25 years as pilot, mil and civ), and beer (more than 25 years experience). There have been items for sale I would have purchased had I been deemed worthy. At this rate, perhaps before I die.

That is correct. I became a site sponsor with very few posts just because I have gleaned a whole lot of information just from lurking here.

You only need 30 posts to place an ad in the EE.

Also, FWIW, EE posts are locked to everyone but the OP per site policy. If you have questions or offers or whatever, you have to use PMs to communicate with the seller.
