I am not a fan of drums. I don’t own one. I think they’re dumb (see M4Gurus post)

But ive seen my buddy put at least a thousand rounds through his two with an MG with zero failures ever.

Exactly, it is a trifecta of the ammunition, magazine, and firearm which need to come together for a combative weapon. If any of those parts are lacking, the weakest link breaks it all down.

I'm waiting for it to become standard issue for certain groups, and then Magpul won't be able to keep them in stock.

It was the only pre-election gun thing I bought. Don’t see a need to buy a second.
AQ planned for years and sent their A team to carry out the attacks, and on Flight 93 they were thwarted by a pick-up team made up of United Frequent Fliers. Many people look at 9/11 and wonder how we can stop an enemy like that. I look at FL93 and wonder, "How can we lose?". -- FromMyColdDeadHand

Thanks, guys. If they were in use playing for All The Marbles, that says a lot--if it's good enough to protect a President, it's good enough to consider for Overwatch on the Homestead ceteris parabus.

Is that an implied "Grab 'em while ya can between impending lack of supply and the walking colostomy bags* infesting our State Crapitol" I hear in your voice there, Stick?

I think the same, but I think I am still going to buy one. Just because.

    3. US SOF units, the USSS (probably who the earlier poster saw with them), the FBI, numerous foreign SOF units, and countless other professional organizations have been using them in tough conditions since they were released with zero negative feedback.

It is absolutely 100% reliable for duty use. Fun fact: I lobbied for the shelving of the project a number of times (I managed the D60 program) due to a perception that a drum would just never be able to work. I got ignored fortunately, and today it is one of the most reliable, problem free products we sell out of a sea of other extremely reliable, problem free products in our portfolio.
Note to self; read entire thread before posting. I really like the above and thank you.
