I really like this new offering. The only modular can I have ever liked is the surge and I will be looking at this one hard for a 308 SBR to use in the short configuration. I have enough full size .30 cans and this fits the bill of what I am after. And at 760 bucks from SS I may just order one up now.

Well I'll be the guinea pig on this one. Ordered from SS. I'll touch back base here in 10 months and we'll see how it does.

I’m going to call BS for those at ear dB levels. I have the Surge 762 and while effective it is not quite hearing safe. The micro is just a smaller version of the surge.

What caliber are you referring to? All of them?

I wish they would note what loads they used as well. Remember that they used 165gr Hush for the Obsidian 9 numbers... Kind of disappointed in that tbh

How do you know its not “hearing safe” ( im assuming you mean below 140db)?
Is it port side or left side if the gun?

As general advise/recommendation to my U.S. colleagues, this is how we show the levels in our catalog, rather straight forward.

Once we have been able to shoot samples shown in the catalogs with our B&K PULSE system, will of course update them.

I find this very useful. Thanks for sharing! It would be great if US based silencer manufacturers adopted this straightforward and consistent assessment methodology.

Yes, nothing really special about. SPL meter positions based on the MIL-STD 1474D and E = 15 cm from the shooters ear, on a line towards the major noise source.

We test at the right ear also due the fact that it is usually the louder side due to the ejection port etc.

1 m side of the muzzle due to being the "adopted industry standard" from the actual MIL-STD transducer positions, been used for a long time.

    Best Regards!
