Thread: How are people doing the NFA engraving on an M&P 15/22 (or any polymer receiver)...

    As stated, you can engrave polymer with lasers. However, it's pretty specific to the laser. We have two--- the big boy for metal will NOT engrave polymer properly, but the Fisher Price looking one does a fantastic job.

    Just be aware if it's a high end laser engraver, it either may not be able to do polymer properly--- or take a whole bunch of setup. Best not to assume if someone engraves metal they can knock out polymer as well. They're two different beasts.

    I have to run mine at 7-10% power and it does good. The main thing was setting the speed and dwell time.
