    Lightest Battery Assist Lever?

From what I’ve read, the biggest problem with battery assist levers is that the added inertial mass to the bolt stop sometimes causes the bolt to fail to lock back after the last round is fired.

What I like about the Boonie Packer Redi-Release is that most of its weight does not contribute to the inertial mass of the bolt release. However, it hasn’t been available for months, and for all I know may never be available again.

Which of the other battery assist levers is the lightest when the weight of the bolt release is included.

It looks like the Phase 5 EBRV2 SC (side charger version) would be the lightest system, But is it?

Including the weight of a standard bolt release where needed, what are the weights of the:

    MagPul BAD - 0.30
Troy Ambi Bolt Release - 0.28 oz
Tactical Link EBAL - ignor, no longer made
    Phase 5 EBRV2 - 0.76 oz
    Phase 5 EBRV2 SC - 0.72 oz
    Other???

The standard Mil-Spec bolt catch weighs 11.5 Grams or 0.406 oz

I don’t know any of the weights but I do know that the Tactical Link EBAL is no longer made.

    officerX,

What kind of battery assist lever do you use? Do you know what your lever weighs off the rifle? Any units - grains, grams, ounces, etc.?

Have 5? Magpuls....only issue I had ended up being a screwed up bolt hold open. Switched to a new one and no problems after that.

I use the EBAL. I’ll try to get a weight and report back.

    Thanks,

I will add weights to my original post as I get them.

Phase 5 supplied me with the weights of their two V2 models. Phase 5 told me that a new V3 version will be coming out in March, but did not say what it would weigh.
