"Not one but four sheriff’s deputies hid behind cars instead of storming Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during last week’s school shooting, according to a new report.

Sources from Coral Springs Police Department tell CNN that when officers arrived on the scene, they were shocked to find three Broward County Sheriff’s deputies behind their cars with their weapons drawn."

For the first time in my adult life that I can remember, I am speechless.

That's the one I'm seeing mostly, even though we have several examples of unarmed teachers who died trying to protect those kids. As a Psychiatrist (and that's the first I have heard of this...) what would to diagnose that level of delusion? Have you published any papers? A Psychiatrist who "gets" the the 2A and such is a rare bird, I hope you're applying it to it's best effects. PM me cites to any papers as needed.

Will, IIRC it's professionally frowned upon to DX without direct observation... but PatrioticDisorder, as a former Psych student and an atypical pathology (autism-spectrum; a lot of the Psych classes were as an informal cognitive-therapy regimen) would you mind counting me in on that request too? (No desire to join the profession myself, the idea with my studies back then was that the better I understand how the human mind works, the better I can compensate for the differences between autistic/AS and other minds.)

Tucker’s opening monologue of course paraphrasing also talked about those four deputies hiding behind their vehicle. The Coral Springs police department arriving on the scene immediately entered the school and later commented about the four Broward Deputies, hiding behind their vehicles.

We all know it's very rare for LEOs to openly criticize each other in such a situation, so that's beyond damning. I'd say this deserves fed level investigation, but considering their performance in this, well...

Keep forgetting I have to keep different jargon straight from different worlds... for example, among paleo-dorks every time one of them refers to a dino called Minmi (Australian mini-Ankylosaurus with no tail-club) my brain wants to read it as "Minimi" (FN light machinegun, aka M249 SAW).

One thing I remember from my Executive Protection days... you pray to God that if you f*** up He'll have the mercy to take you FIRST rather than make you watch those entrusted to your care die.
