Reduced Power Hammer Spring w/ AR-9
I installed an ALG ACT trigger with the reduced power hammer spring included with the trigger, in my PSA AR-9 setup. I’ve only run 100 rounds with the new trigger, and it ran and felt great. Then I read in a few places that reduced power hammer springs shouldn’t be used in blowback AR-9s because the hammer spring tension helps hold the bolt into battery. I am running an 8 oz. buffer for a combined bolt+buffer weight of 23 oz., along with an xp buffer spring.
Has anybody here had issues with reduced power hammer springs in similar setups? What are the risks of using the reduced power spring?

Run a similar setup in a couple of 9's & a 45 with No issues... in excess of 6500 rounds.

Years ago that was true... but, they didn't have the heavier buffers and recoil springs so readily available... so given your current setup, you should be fine.
