Used Remington 1187 20 ga value?

Found a used 1187 in 20ga with a 21" barrel, four chokes, soft case, and both youth and full size furniture.

    Guy wants $450 for it.

What do you guys think? Decent value to get my boys into shotgun shooting?

Thanks for your opinions as this is out of my area of knowledge...

I don't know where the used market is at for them, but it's a great choice for a youth shotgun.

Not completely the same. But 5 minutes online gets me to this.

So 450 new. Probably same numbers of chokes. The extra stock I am sure sure how much value it adds but I doubt you would be spending more than $100 for a new one and used could be rather cheap. Also Remington's current straights does make one a tad leery.

I think so too! I've had an 1100 for years and it's been flawless.
