    Trijicon Mount for MRO

    Hey all,

Need to pick up a mount for an MRO, any reason not to use the Trijicon mount? Specifically the AC32068 full co-witness mount.

    Thanks.

IMO this is the best MRO mount out there >>> https://scalarworks.com/shop/optic-m...con-mro-mount/

    Thanks.
Trijicon makes very solid products. I've used their ACOGs and TA51 mounts and the mounts are well machined with a nice fit and finish. I have an MRO as well, but i purchased it from LaRue Tactical and got it with one of the LaRue QD mounts. It is also an excellent mount. The only reason i would not use the Trijicon mount is if you want a Quick Detach feature (I believe the Trijicon mount is not quick detach).

Thanks for the input gents. I usually buy ADM with QD but thought I might try a simple non QD this time. The Scalarworks looks good but not digging the price. Great specs though.

Have you considered the Geissele MRO mount?

Non QD, but the 1/2” hex nut and cross bolt securement should make it bomb proof.

Go for the Spuhr which is the only MRO mount with recoil lug.

That Spuhr mount is a good looking unit- and no doubt top tier quality.

Guess I question the necessity of a recoil lug on an MRO mount for a 5.56 however.
I get the "better have it and not need it, than need it and not have it" mindset, I've just never heard of anyone shearing all four mount screws from recoil, or hard use for that matter.

Story goes... years ago a LE guy banged his rifle with an Aimpoint against the corner of a wall inside a shoot house and it snapped from the mount. Since then all Aimpoint mounts have recoil lugs.

The Geissele has two recoil lugs, plus the cross bolt. FYI.

For the picatinny, but not for the optic.
