The only problem with this meme is their logic will be to ban "sniper rifles" and "assault shotguns" which is their goal anyway.

I remember something a few years back where the BATFE wanted to go scorched earth on any shotgun (pump, auto, break open) that had so much as a flashlight or shell carrier.

Exactly, but it's better to force them to admit that openly, thus exposing their true agenda which will make people realize uncle Joe's bolt gun and grandpas shot gun will be taken next, vs playing defense here hoping they only take the ARs. Many who are for "sensible" gun control but not anti gun (which is most 'Muricans) believe the anti gun groups when they claim they don't want to remove all guns, just "assault weapons" and such. Get that out in the open and those on the fence will see what the true goals are.

That video always makes me laugh... much to the confusion of my coworkers who feel if we just remove all guns somehow criminals won't have them either.

I generally stay out of the trenches on social media sites in the wake of such sensationalized crimes...

However I could not sit by on this one, the lemmings who claim they don't want to ban "all" firearms or take away the 2nd Amendment and lament about "common sense gun control" get all their info from the media. They want a ban on specifically the AR-15, when I point out to them that the AR-15 is only ONE type of semi-automatic sporting rifle they don't know what to say. They actually believe that if a magic wand was some how waved and we could ban all the AR-15s out there no one would shoot up a soft target; school, nightclub, church, etc. with an AK, SCAR, ARX, Mini-14, et al.

It's the sort of thing that reinforces my belief that the vast majority of people are completely ****ing stupid.

If these people actually understood firearms and the nature of this ammo vs. that ammo, they'd no longer be trying to implement gun bans. This is the default position of people who are completely ignorant about such things, which is ironic because they criticize others for exactly the same kind of ignorance when it comes to subjects such as homosexuality and AIDS.
