    auto-ordnance M1 Carbines?

Anyone had any experience with the newish Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbines? I've always wanted an M1, but I waited too long and now the good ones are hard to come by...

Also, since I'm Carbine-Ignorant, do either the original guns or the new AO guns have chrome lined chambers/bores? I see that Green Mountain makes the barrels for the new guns, so that makes me think that THEY, at least, do NOT have chrome lined chambers/bores.

    Thanks,

    Jason

Wow...no one? None of our Commie-fornia brothers have even been tempted?

Why not one from the CMP? I'd rather have an old USGI M1 than a new Auto-Ordnance one...

The M1 Carbine is a neat little gun - DocGKR has some terminal effects write ups in that forum here. Buy a couple boxed of Corbon DPX and you're set! I saw a box of Remington hollow points at the local shop - $47/50 rounds!!!

The ones i have delt with were pure unadulterated junk.
Went back to the factory twice for mag/feeding problems
after the lady in customer service told me, and i quote:
"Well, we make no guarantee that they will work with surplus magazines, just the one supplied with the rifle...."

I will never buy a Kahr/Auto Ordnance product.

Get a carbine from the CMP.
You'll be glad that you did.

sorry to resurrect an old thread.

but where might i purchase a CMP M1 Carbine? do i have to be a gov't/LE employee?

i'm looking for a range worthy, but not match quality M1 carbine.

    http://www.odcmp.com/

Go here and click on "Sales" (right hand side).

There ARE some qualifications you must meet, but the key word is "CIVILIAN."
