Thread: Talk me into, or out of, buying a 10mm

    Yeah... This is my dilemma now with having a G20. I was looking at a Dan Wesson RZ-10 that I could get at a decent price. I REALLY want a 1911 again, but have all but retired the idea of using a .45 again. Between a primary EDC of either a 9mm, .357 Sig or .357 Mag, I have not carried a .45 in 20+ years. Since I already have a 10mm that actually gets woods carry, I'm thinking a 10mm in 1911 would be the way to go... Oh well, no rush. I have no "need" for a 1911, but you all know how that goes.

    Shoot a 1911 in 10mm and you'll wonder what all the fuss about controllability was. I don't know what the FBI was shooting 10mm in (1076 or whatever???), But I find 10mm rolls less than 230g 45 does. Might sting the hand a bit more, but less wrist snap, especially with lighter (but much faster) bullets.
