Delta Point Pro in rain/snow
(and presumably mud/sand)
I used this last titanic gasp of winter as an opportunity to test out this little reflex sight in the snowy, wet conditions. Periodic whiteout with sustained blowing snow, perfect.
Out to the range, both front and rear lenses immediately started accumulating snow, which melted into droplets and soaked everything. I was concerned the tiny little emitter would get a droplet of water stuck over it and make the optic useless. It didn't happen that way. The triangle stayed bright and clear throughout. Parts of the window became obscured with ice/snow/water, but there was always a little patch somewhere that clearly reflected the aiming point. I blew it out a few times, and this caused the glass to fog up momentarily, but this quickly cleared. Basically I just wanted to see if the optic would remain usable on patrol in bad conditions, and so far, it would.
I'll try rain next.

My DPP performed miserably in rain. It very quickly became a starburst and I wasn’t able to shake the water out, the only way to make it functional again was to dry it off with a towel. My RMR has not been nearly as sensitive.

I'll get it out in the rain once that's a thing up here.
