    What muzzle device for suppressor?

I plan to setup a trust in the next week or two and hopefully purchase a suppressor in the next month or two. My question is: should I use a flash hider or a muzzle brake? I have a 13.8-ish carbine gas build with a pinned warcomp, and have a 14.5" mid build in the works. I plan to use a Dead Air Sandman so I want to know if I should use their muzzle brake as a sacrificial baffle, or will a flash hider be fine in those setups?

P.S. I do know that I need to replace the warcomp with a Dead Air muzzle device

How many rounds do you shoot a year?

What is the percentage of time you will use the rifles unsuppressed?

ETA - What is the primary use of the rifles in question? Range toys or duty / SD?

Brakes are annoying and the Sandman has Stellite baffles...You'd have to try really, really, hard to hurt it => Flash hider.

That's what I was thinking. I'm just getting back into shooting, so I probably won't be putting too many rounds through it for now.

Everything I own has a flash hider. I'm about to swap one to a brake, but that's simply due to some odd barrel restrictions for the Nitro I have in jail.
