They can happily bite me. In the late '80's, I traveled all over the rural south, and often late at night. Rest assured, in Buttfuzz,AL, the ONLY thing open @ 3 in the morning IS "Affle House (an APT name, when the "W" in the sign burns out...)." I happily munched my BLT with a bowl of Bertha's chili, quietly reading the newspaper and packing heat in the corner booth... & none of them was the wiser...

You hit the nail on the head. Let's focus on a guy wearing only a jacket who sheds the jacket so he's not as identifiable!

Did anyone check the immigration records to see if General Butt Naked came here?

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

In addition, Reinking reportedly had exposed himself in a public pool after swimming in his underwear in June 2017. Someone had called the cops on Reinking, who was apparently "wearing a pink woman's housecoat and carrying an AR-15 rifle," Fox 32 added.
Kudos to James Shaw Jr. !

How was the shooter not locked up. We are going to lose our guns if we can't keep people like this from getting, getting again, and getting again guns. We are going to lose our guns and for some reason, this guy couldn't be kept from getting guns.

Ok, see, what this should highlight is that it doesn’t matter what restrictions or interventions are put in place, people will still find a way to harm others.

DC is not about prosecuting folks, even less so when mental illness is evident. His Illinois FOID cars was pulled too. Sooooooo.

The guy has a history of committals, med noncompliance, and guessing carries a diagnosis of schizophrenia in addition substance abuse.

There are institutions for mentally ill folks in IL where they can be confined against their will and treated, but it takes a court order, which is almost always for 180 days or less, and there's not nearly enough bedspace in them to accommodate the number of people who need to be there for their own safety and/or the safety of others. And the system is set up to release MI people, and not to keep them. Folks often get in a pattern of being sent to a facility, getting treated for a few months, being released, then sent back after another incident, over & over. As a bonus, they get to spend A LOT of time in county jails.

The mental health system in Illinois is so fvcked, and mentally ill folks, their families, and society suffer for it.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and the other bonus to our MH system is that a lot of shitbags love to claim to be mentally ill. They say that's why they always do stuff that gets them arrested, and why they don't think we ought to hold what they do against them. Mental illness is real, but it seems to me that for every legit MI person, there's 10-100 folks who have been diagnosed with bipolar, PTSD, depression, anxiety. Then they get prescribed some happy pills & are free to do as they please, while abusing or selling prescription drugs.

A Tazewell County Sheriff's Office report stated that in August 2017, Reinking wanted to report that 20 to 30 people were "tapping into his computer and phone," and said that he's been hearing people outside of his house "barking like dogs."

This could have been a massive shooting. It's surprising that his father gave back his weapons and that person wasn't listed a prohibited person after the White House stunt.

Do we know if dad gave the gun back or did the take it? It's frustrating to see these people over and over who should not have weapons. We need people control not gun control.
