Surefire 3P flash hider installation tool?

I have the Magpul Armorer’s wrench and found out it was too wide for the flats on the Surefire 3P FH, received the Brownell’s armorer’s tool and it is also too wide. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a tool to install the Surefire 3P FH?

Grind a wrench down or go buy a thin open end wrench or crowfoot.

Do a web search on "tappet wrench", that is what I use.

The AAC Blackout FH installation tool works like a champ. That's what I used on mine.

SnapOn sells an adjustable crows foot. Once you buy it you'll find a thousand other uses for it and wonder why you haven't seen one before.

You are right about that - sounds like an excellent idea. I'll hunt one down.

    Thanks for the hint.

I filed on the edges of my armorer's tool until it fit. Mine is a Tapco, but I imagine you could do the same with any brand.

I bought the crow’s feet set from Advanced Auto Parts, the damn thing is too wide for the Surefire 3P flats so I’m gonna grind the damn thing down, I’m out of other ideas. You’d think Surefire would just go ahead and sell a tool...
