    Smaller capacity AK 7.62x39 drums...

I am very familiar with the 75 and 100 rd AK 7.62 mags.

Due to their bulk and weight, I would be interested in seeing someone, say Magpul for example, hint, hint, making a polymer bodied 60rd drum, like the one for the AR but for an AK.

Anyone else interested in something like that?

Nope. Still bulky and heavy. What's wrong with 2 mags? (Same 60 rounds)

I don’t like drums for my rifles. The highest I will use are 40’s. The drums and SureFire 60’s are too heavy and expensive for me.

Not a fan of drums at all. No real advantages over multiple mags, and I can think of several disadvantages.

I'd be in for a Magpul 60 rounder.

Plus who can afford to feed them these days. Personally, I like all my AK stuff classic anyways.

I thought about getting a D60 for the heck of it, but until the price drops to around $50 I'm not interested.

AK ammo is typically pretty cheap.

Yeah, less than $200 shipped per 1000 rounds is still very common for 7.62x39.

All I'm saying is ripping through a drum of 60 rounds is $12 at the prices you are quoting vs. $6 if you run a full 30 round mag. I find loading less in general leaves me spending significantly less and spending more time at the range than others. Usually at higher capacities most people are just burning through the ammo anyways vs taking their time to place shots in clean groups.
